Time's Up for Thomas

Clarence Thomas should resign from the Supreme Court.

The calls for Clarence Thomas to resign from the US Supreme Court are valid and should be heeded.

He was wrong not to recuse himself when he cast the only vote in favor of shielding Donald Trump’s papers from the January 6 committee.

He was one of three justices who voted against Trump’s challenges against Pennsylvania mail-in ballots.

Any vote of Thomas’ on issues related to Donald Trump and the Insurrection are fraught with conflict of interest.

His wife Ginni is a QAnon-minded conspirator who has been revealed as heavily involved in attempting to overturn the election and likely a plotter of the January 6 riot.

Even if he agreed to recuse himself from now on, the damage has been done.

The appearance of impartiality on his part was already tissue-paper thin.

It is now the constitution of Swiss cheese.

Even if he didn’t know about his wife’s actions then, which is doubtful, he does now.

Every vote, written dissent, or public statement he may make related to Trump and January 6 is incontrovertibly tainted.

He should have never been confirmed.

But he needs to go now with all due haste and speed.
