The Devil Knows Scripture, The President Doesn’t
Watching the president giving the keynote speech at a prayer breakfast is like watching a dog pretend to be a cat.
The best the cat can do is give a good imitation because it’s not in the cat’s nature to be a dog.
It’s not in this president’s nature to be anything remotely like an authentic Christian.
He’s as far from being a Christian as the east is from the west.
Hearing his comments at the National Prayer Breakfast, his counterfeit Christianity is an object of horror to behold.
A sampling of his remarks:
· Regarding his supposedly joking comments that he wasn’t going to make it into heaven:
“I was just having fun. I really think I probably should make it. I mean, I’m not a perfect candidate, but I did a hell of a lot of good for perfect people, that’s for sure.”
· “I don’t know how a person of faith can vote for a Democrat. I really don’t.”
· After lying that he got rid of the Johnson Amendment, a tax code rule that forbids non-profits like churches from endorsing political candidates:
“People like me and people, like a lot of people, they want to hear from ministers, they want to hear from priests, they want to hear from them. And you were restricted from talking about very important things like who to elect if you said that you were gone, you couldn’t do it, even if you said it in a very nice way, because they were going to be better for the church… We worked hard at getting rid of the Johnson Amendment. It’s gone as far as you can say anything you want. Now, if you do say something bad about Trump, I will change my mind, and I will have, I will have your tax exempt status immediately revoked.”
Previous presidents could have delivered actual prayers at the prayer breakfast. I would have paid a lot of money to see this charlatan attempt to pray without sounding like Mushmouth from Fat Albert.
Hearing him say he should make it into the pearly gates sounds like someone hoping his lip service will be counted as good works.
Previous presidents could make passing attempts at being pious.
This president is the most rank imposter ever to attempt to portray himself as penitent.
A certified sexual assaulter of women, boys, and girls is not going to make it into heaven.
Someone who is responsible for the mistreatment of immigrants – men, women, and children - is not going to make it into heaven.
Someone responsible for the deaths of innocent mothers and caregivers is not going to make it into heaven.
The only evidence we have of the president being a Christian is his word and the words of others.
If he is a Christian, he’s a Christian
· Who golfs every Sunday instead of going to church.
· Who is unable to pray or quote Scripture.
· Who publicly said he’s never asked God to forgive his sins.
· Who hasn’t demonstrated one scintilla of the Fruits of the Spirit.
When the devil tempted Jesus in the Wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11), he used Scripture, albeit out of context.
That’s more than the president is capable of doing.
Instead of misquoting Scripture, he’s surrounded himself with sellout, reprobate clergy.
He’s cloaked himself in faux righteousness for his own sake.
He’s made a show and production of being something that anyone with a brain and bible knowledge knows he’s not.
No matter what Franklin Graham and Paula White say, he’s not a Christian.
He’s not your average sinner.
He’s a particularly horrible sinner.
And one day soon, he will be keeping Satan company in Hell.

Well said. Thank you.
