The Continued Consequences of Gun Law
America’s lack of responsible gun control has led to more deaths.
In Texas, a home of cowboys and shooting victims.
Five people were killed, including an eight-year-old, when some of the victims asked a neighbor to stop firing his AR-15 style weapon outside.
The killer responded by saying,
“I’ll do what I want to in my front yard.”
Then, he decided that what he wanted to do is murder everyone in the house that lodged the complaint.
He took his high-powered weapon and shot people in and around the house.
Two women were shot shielding two children.
The children survived.
A family concerned about sleeping children has been destroyed by gun violence.
Because the shooter had to shoot and was offended that anyone would question him.
Our gun culture can’t be bothered with questions.
It can’t be bothered with reasonable rules and regulations.
All it knows is how to take swift offense with everything.
And respond with unrelenting violence.
More children are dead.
More bodies have been brutally torn asunder.
For what?
For freedom.
For the freedom to possess incomprehensible weapons of mass destruction.
The freedom to destroy families.
The freedom to fill more graves.
An American life is as cheap as it ever has been.
God help us if it gets any cheaper.
