RWOCs
The current variety of Uncle Toms are apparently unconcerned about how their fellow travelers treat Black people.
Of all of the ways that today’s crop of Black conservatives are plaguing and vexing, one of the most perplexing is that they align themselves with the very people that do Black people the most harm.
Conservatives like Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice might be further right than most Black people, but they are quick to call out racism, misogyny, and other ailments even when it is in their own party. But most of today’s RWOCs (Right Wingers of Color) are former president-loving, racism-only-exists-in-people’s minds, anyone-left-of-Hitler-isn’t-fit-to-live just like their White brethren.
The Candace Owens’, Jason Whitlocks’, and Larry Elders’ of the world sing from the same ungodly hymnal as Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity, and the rest. In fact, they work overtime to make sure that they equal or outpace their colleagues.
Elder is the likely beneficiary if the California gubernatorial recall is successful. He has a horrible habit of saying things like
“Women know less than men about political issues, economics and current events…for the less one knows, the easier the manipulation.”
and
“Oh, for crying out loud. Harvey Weinstein has had now ― I think it’s over 30 accusations of sexual assault, including five accusations of rape. Whatever Donald Trump has done is child’s play compared to this.”
Whitlock is a sports writer who left ESPN for the more comfortable environment at Fox Sports, where he could feel more comfortable making despicable comments such as
There is a business built around racial grievance. And that business is booming at such a level that white people are like hey, I'm going to adopt a whole new identity so I can benefit from being Baby Al Sharpton, Baby Jesse Jackson, and in academia, this has been embraced and she has been able to pull off this scam.
and
There's no way you can do any homework on Black Lives Matters, and not see that it's a Marxist political organization. It's not about Black Death. It's not about black men. It is a political move. It's a communist political move.
His recent interview with Tucker Carlson further demonstrates his and his fellow travelers’ ability to disown the truth and abandon common sense. Whitlock told Carlson that he believes that people who adopt a progressive agenda
“are doing it because they’ve been forced to. They don’t want to be framed as racist. They don’t want to be framed as sellouts.”
He also said that “our Christian values” fueled the Civil Rights Movement.
Black people’s and some White people’s Christian values propelled the movement, but the White Church as a whole was struck deaf, mute, and blind when it came to defending the rights of Black people.
No, the White church believed, as other facets of society people believed, that segregation and racial injustice and inequality was the natural order of things. The very people Whitlock aligns himself with are the ones who have oppress, are oppressing us, and will try to oppress us in the future.
These are the same kind of Black people who curried favor with their slave masters.
The same kind who thought that agreeing with racism and discrimination would give them a place at the Big Table.
The same kind who climbs the social ladder by stepping on the necks of others.
The same kind who will never be free as long as their mind remains in chains.
