In Atlanta, we’re on active shooter watch.
A mentally disturbed military veteran opened fire at a hospital.
One person is dead and four are wounded.
He’s on the run.
His mother went with him to the appointment hoping to get him help.
Help to prevent him from doing what he ended up doing.
He brought a handgun with him, and at some point, began shooting.
A teacher in Virginia who was shot by a six-year-old student has been told by her school board that her wounds are covered by workers compensation.
America couldn’t be less safe.
And the disease is spreading.
In Serbian, a security guard and eight children were killed.
We’re setting the tone in all the wrong ways.
The police are doing all they can, but all they can do is after the fact.
They can’t predict when the next shooting will happen.
They can’t protect everyone from being killed with guns.
Congress could do it.
They could pass laws that would make it almost impossible to be killed with a gun.
Countries all over the world have successfully lowered gun violence to being nearly non-existent.
But America won’t.
We don’t have the will.
We would be less free if we gave up our guns.
Only the criminals would have guns if we gave up our guns.
All we need are more good guys and women with guns.
All we need are armed guards in every building.
All we need are armed teachers.
All we need is for every family to have a gun.
One for every boy and every girl.
Because guns aren’t the problem.
Everything else is a problem.
But not guns.
