Meet Larry Elder
Introducing the Black conservative who could become the next governor of California
A story that will certainly attract much attention and focus in the coming days is the gubernatorial recall election just underway in the state of California.
Current governor Gavin Newsom has incurred the ire of many state voters on a number of issues ranging from taxation and his handling of the COVID-19 epidemic. He has divided voters even in his own Democratic Party.
There are several Republican candidates who are ready to succeed Newsom in the Governor’s mansion should he lose the vote, including Caitlyn Jenner, the transgendered former Olympic Decathlon Gold Medalist.
According to recent polling, the leading Republican in the race is Black Conservative talk show host and commentator Larry Elder. Elder is what typically passes as a Black Conservative these days. A supporter of the former president, check. Pro-business but against anti-poverty programs, check. Having a “anyone can pull themselves up by their bootstraps in America” philosophy, checkmate.
Here are some quotes from this commentator who has no prior political experience, but of course, lots of opinions:
“Women know less than men about political issues, economics and current events…for the less one knows, the easier the manipulation.”
“Are there legitimate business reasons for a venture capitalist to ask a female entrepreneur whether and when she intends to have children? Hell, yes.”
“Will someone please tell the victicrats that life consists of trade-offs? … During her political career she saw her family, two-and-a-half hours away, on weekends and perhaps once or twice during the week. Would anyone dare suggest pregnancy and motherhood incompatible with the demands of running a state? Apparently not.”
“…a prospective employer might say, happens if she gets pregnant? Oh, the employer thinks, she has two kids. What happens when the inevitable crises come up? How can I afford to keep a job open, and pay benefits despite her absence? Of course, the “feminists” and other toe-tag liberals don’t give a damn about a company’s bottom line. Companies, in their minds, possess an unlimited bag of money to accommodate the it-takes-a-village mentality.
“Oh, for crying out loud. Harvey Weinstein has had now ― I think it’s over 30 accusations of sexual assault, including five accusations of rape. Whatever Donald Trump has done is child’s play compared to this.”
“The formula for achieving middle-class success is simple: Finish high school; don't have a child before the age of 20; and get married before having the child.”
"Because Fox News is allegedly biased in favor of conservatives, critics whine like children whose lunch money got snatched. Conservatives have been pummeled for decades. Now that Fox News and conservative talk radio give people alternatives, critics squeal as if being sodomized."
“The ideal minimum wage is $0.00.”
The entire country suffered and continues to suffer because of electing a neophyte without experience to run the country.
Does California want to suffer the same fate?
