Casting Vision and Soliciting Opinions for 2024

What do my readers want, think, etc.?

First, I would like to thank everyone who reads, comments, and shares my posts. I am grateful to anyone who takes the time to not only read my writing but take the extra time and energy to engage with me and others about my posts.

My personal goals for this year are two-fold.

First, I want to write more and produce more content. I enjoy creating these posts, although they are work and some of them have taken a toll on some personal relationships.

There was too much going on in the world for me to remain silent, and my desire to speak out overrode my innate shyness and my hardwired desires to avoid conflict and controversy.

Anyone who really knows me knows that while I have opinions to spare on any number of topics, I’d rather be wallpaper than the life of the party.

A lifetime of social awkwardness combined with a long history of putting my foot in my mouth makes me reticent to do anything in public, much less climb up hills of advocacy that much braver, better writers have not ascended but conquered.

I write because it is a gift and calling - something that I both need to and am compelled to do.

That being said, my other goal regarding my writing is to monetize it.

I realize that doing so will require greater consistency and better quality.

It may also require me to step even further outside my extremely narrow comfort zone.

So, I’m asking my readers – is there anything else you want me to do besides writing?

Some have suggested podcasting. That sounds both exciting and terrifying. I’m not sure I have the time or technical capabilities to go in this direction in the near future, but I’m willing to consider it if enough people show interest.
