Another Miscarriage of Justice Seems Likely
The judge in the Kyle Rittenhouse trial is laying the groundwork for his escape from justice.
The trial of teen White Supremacist Kyle Rittenhouse isn't going to start until next week, but based on a recent ruling by the judge, it is obvious that the youthful murderer has a powerful ally.
Judge Bruce Schroeder has ruled that the three men Rittenhouse shot, two fatally, cannot be referred to as "victims."
However, he also ruled that the three men could be referred to "arsonists," "looter," or "rioters."
Therefore, the judge is seeding an environment where those who were shot can be perceived as criminals, but the youngster who shot them can be perceived as someone preserving "law and order."
Even though he crossed state lines to be at the protest.
Even though he was armed with an AR-15 style rifle.
Even though he joined up with other White Supremacists who were at the protests for no other reason to do violence.
And violence was done.
And it doesn't matter that Rittenhouse's mother brought him.
Or that he's a minor.
Or that he idolizes law enforcement, excuse me, White law enforcement.
He is a killer.
He should be punished like one.
He should be punished like a Black teen would be punished if the races were reversed.
Oh, excuse me.
I forgot.
If Kyle Rittenhouse were Black, the police would have shot him dead on the spot instead of sympathizing with him and his racist brethren.
Such is American law enforcement.
And American jurisprudence is no better.
