America's Real Problems
Thankful for the GOP's focus on the real issues - transgender people and drag queens.
I can’t articulate how thankful I am.
This country has been so off track.
It has been for quite some time.
But now, finally, the real issues are being addressed.
Some politicians and activists have been focused on the wrong things.
Too much time has been spent on dealing with racism. All these laws passed, all of the talk about current prejudice, and too much emphasis on the past, has caused us to focus too much effort on this overblown issue.
Now, racism is being effectively dealt with by restructuring our textbooks. Constructing editing has taken out inflammatory facts, creating the ideal that America has always been a racially understanding and tolerant nation.
Why didn’t we do this sooner?
For too long, school libraries have been indoctrinating our children. Books that would lead kids to believe that slavery wasn’t a noble institution, that promote the myths of Jim Crow, lynchings, and intentional, institutional prejudice are being effectively modified. Now, all American children will understood that this country has always treated all of its immigrants with compassion, with inconvenient facts deleted and replaced with nativist idealism.
So much of our problems stem from our educational system. Can you imagine educators having to discuss menstruation to confused and impressionable girls? It’s almost as if teachers are supposed to provide knowledge and information. But thankfully, laws are being passed to prevent this misunderstanding from continuing. In the future, female students will realize that the role of teachers is to impart carefully curated and edited information, not helpful, unvarnished truth.
Fortunately, legitimate issues are being tackled.
The tragedies brought on by transgendered individuals has been conveniently overlooked. Their promulgation of hatred, and constant participation in acts of acts of violence, particularly gun violence, has been imprudently ignored.
Thankfully, laws are being passed that are limiting their ability to receive quality health care, their freedom of speech and expression, and their civil rights.
Finally! Our constitution and Bill of Rights obviously don’t apply to them, and they have enjoyed widespread tolerance and acceptance for far too long.
Drag queens has been a serious issue in America for many years. They are the source of numerous social ills. They have continually undermined the fabric of society. The way they have infiltrated so many of our social settings, and perniciously frayed our morals and values has been disturbing.
But after all of this time, something is being done. Laws are being passed to curb their performances and limit minor access to their performance, a problem that was ignored for too long.
It is extremely gratifying that America is correcting its priorities.
The fact that our country is attacking the insidious forces that tear at our delicate fabric is both encouraging and heartening.
In years to come, this era will be remembered as one where America clearly demonstrated it understood what was and wasn’t important to maintain our free and equal society.
God Bless America!
