Agitate, Agitate, Agitate
Last week, a great president (and better human being) was laid to rest.
The other night, a great president gave his farewell address.
In a few days, the most corrupt, despicable human being to ever hold the office resumes the presidency.
It would suit him if opposition were non-existent.
If we decided to shelter in place, merely trying to survive, there might be some justification.
But hiding out would not save, restore, or resurrect our Republic.
America has never been as great as advertised, at least not for non-Whites.
Whether we tried to hold certain truths as self-evident, the country mocked and scorned us.
It reviled and repudiated us.
But this is about more than American idealism.
We must strive to ensure that enough of America will be left intact.
That enough substance remains so that the United States will finally become more than lofty sounding words on old parchment.
This is about the extent to which the most powerful nation in the history of the world declines, and whether what remains can be rehabilitated.
Our government is giving way to oligarchy.
Our cabinet will be full of ignorant sycophants ready, willing, and able to do his bidding.
Congress is filled with a majority of his supporters, many of whom helped to plan and organize the January 6 rebellion.
The Supreme Court is compromised and corrupt.
Corporations are falling in line by demonizing and removing DEI programs.
Red states are promoting covenant marriage and continuing the assaults on reproductive and LGBTQIA rights.
All reasonable people must work together to defend individual rights and freedoms.
This country was built on tyranny and oppression but deluded itself that it was better than other countries.
The thin veneer that shielded many from the truth is gone.
The inmates are now running the asylum states of America.
If we do not act with certainty and unity, countries that don’t pretend to be free will fill the vacuum left in our wake.
We must organize, strategize, and do everything in our power to make sure that we are not wholly consumed by oligarchal fascism.
All of our gifts, talents, and abilities must be used to protect and defend our nation.
None of us can afford to be passive.
None of us can afford to be in survival mode.
We must all take part.
We must all unite.
Poor White people must realize that keeping non-Whites poor lowers the bar for all of society.
Men need to resist the urge to defend the old, tired patriarchy.
Straight people must realize that they need to recognize the humanity of the LGBTQIA community.
White people must understand the strength in recognizing diversity and the pitfalls and hindrances of homogeneity.
We must resist all efforts to return this country to the bad old days.
America has never been as great as it should have been, but it still could become great.
It could attain the lofty heights it has always aspired to, but only if those not infected by fascism and oligarchy act decisively.
Now is the time to act.
We cannot wait another moment.
You are exactly right. We need to revive the spirit of resistance, we are the majority if we stick together. The lunatic won by securing less than 1/3 of registered voters, a little less than that 1/3 voted for decency, joy, and humanity, and over 1/3 sat the election out. There is no mandate for that corrupt convicted felon to bulldoze over our Constitution, the rule of law, and the citizens of this country.

It is a similar type of social media network to what Musk destroyed but a significant difference is that truth matters there, each person has the ability to block and/or report people who abuse the platform, trolls and bots are removed when reported, and it was created by a small group of liberal minded people. A lot of people exited the ashes of twitter and join BlueSky, in fact millions have joined since the election. I think your essays would reach more people and do well over there.
